Urban Sketcher – The Mabel Tainter – Menomonie, WI

WHEN: Thursday, March 20

LOCATION:  The Mabel Tainter, 205 Main St E, Menomonie, WI 

MEET:   11 a.m. (room to the right of the front door). Lucas (Director) will give us a quick 10-15 introduction. If weather permits, you may also sketch outside.

SKETCHING TIME: 11:15a - 1:45p.

THROW DOWN TIME: 1:45p. (room directly to the right of the front entrance to the building).

 NOTE: If you want to sketch longer, after the throw down, feel free to do so. Closing time is 4p. 

RESTRICTIONS: All medium is welcome EXCEPT for in the auditorium (dry medium only). Photography welcome. Artists may go anywhere in the building. Staff will lock any locations that are off limits (which may only be the office area).

INFORMATION: The Mabel Tainter, built in 1889, is a 261-seat "crown jewel" Victorian theater. It's a gorgeous place to sketch -- from the theater to hand stenciled walls/ceilings, heavy drapery, marble staircase and floors, four fireplaces, to the Steere & Turner pipe organ.

MISCELLANEOUS: Elevator available. Restrooms on-location. Parking to the East (right side of building) – 10 spaces available; street parking available for a fee.
